Pür Residential Recording Studio Featured in e-architect

March 31, 2026

Our residential recording studio project, Pur, located on the Aegean island of Cunda, has been featured by e-architect, a leading global architecture news platform.

The article explores Pur as an experiment in "dual alignment," highlighting our design approach that balances deep respect for the local context with the integration of state-of-the-art acoustic technology. The piece discusses how the global and the local do not need to compete but can instead amplify one another. It details the spatial journey of the project—from the vernacular masonry and timber exterior that honors Cunda's architectural heritage to the highly tuned GFRC shell that acts as a "wormhole" into the acoustic environment.

Furthermore, e-architect delves into the subterranean Musician's Lounge and the advanced box-in-box recording studio system, emphasizing how natural light and visual connections maintain a sense of intimacy and a home-away-from-home atmosphere. The feature also highlights our participatory co-design framework, noting that the architecture itself serves as evidence of collaboration, shaped by the voices of the musicians who inhabit it.
